Question:
I had my nose augmented six years ago but it seems that the silicone inserted at the time is slightly off-centre, which doesn't bother me that much except when it's obvious in some photos. Would it be complicated to have it corrected? What would have to be done and at what cost? Thanks.
Answer:
Repositioning your nasal implant may or may not be complicated to correct, depending on the position of your implant and its influence on surrounding structures within your nose. In general, however, healing of the nose can be unpredictable and as a rule of thumb, if the result is reasonable, it is much wiser to not tamper with it. A revision of rhinoplasty may cost anywhere between $2000 and $6000. If you are confident with the surgeon who performed your original rhinoplasty, he or she would be the best person to perform the revision.
